Software Engineer/Developer - Paid Developer Tryout

Pinyadda is looking for an extremely driven Software Engineer/Developer that wants to be a large contributor in a fast moving, dynamic company with ambitions to become an industry leader. Those looking to participate in the tryout must be familiar with Lean Startup methodologies, flexible enough to change course from spring to sprint, and confident in their ability to contribute Pinyadda's overall platform vision as we work toward product-market fit. Candidates must have strong communication and analytical skills and must be hungry to join a team that lives to work. Online resumes will be used for an initial screen but candidates must display previous work and be ready to dive into a fast paced work environment from the start.

Tryout will include:

• Paid 3 month contract;
• Multiple projects will be assigned with firm deadlines;
• Future enhancements and fresh ideas welcome and expected;
• Performance assessment and feedback after each 2 week development sprint;
• Candidates who show excellent drive and execution will be considered for a full time position including stock;

Major Responsibilities:

• Write, refine, and debug source code (primarily PHP/AJAX);
• Assist in technical product design and architecture;
• Document technical specifications for all projects;
• Develop front and back-end components;
• Assist in implementation and testing of all developed projects;

Requirements

• College level degree in Computer Science or related field preferred;
• Expert level skills in PHP/MySQL and AJAX;
• Strong knowledge of Javascript (including JQuery), X/HTML & CSS;
• Experience with working with Apache/Linux;
• 3-5 years experience with MySQL administration;
• Familiarity with REST-style APIs and Facebook Connect a major plus;
